Destin and South Walton are known around the world for our powder like white sand that literally "squeaks" when you walk on it. Destin is also designated as a Tree city and offers many public parks and boat launches.
The Beaches of South Walton Tourist Development Council maintains over 60 Beach and bay access points. Listed below are the 8 access points that are patrolled by life guards from March through September yearly. Always remember to obey the warning flags.

Located 1/2 mile east of CR395 and CR30A Turn S at Gamble Road
3. Van Neese Butler Jr. Access
Located along Scenic 30A between Watercolor and Sea Side
4. Blue Mountain Access
Southern most end of Rd. 83- 1.5 Mi west of Highway 98 and 331
5. Gulfview Heights Access
Located 3 Mi east of Cr. 393 and 30A intersection
6. Ed Walline Access
Located west of Cr. 393 and Scenic 30A
8. Miramar Beach Access
Located off Scenic Gulf Drive 2 miles east of Hwy. 98 and Scenic Gulf Drive
